Bosch diesel pump lubrication?

I have heard many opinions about low sulfur diesel fuel (Euro4, Euro5, etc…) and classic high pressure fuel pump (rotational). There are two factions: one that believe that sulfur is lubricant for these pumps and other that believe that sulfur is not lubricant for these pumps. So, I would ask you people what is the truth actually. Please don’t quote some quasi scientific interpretations, I have heard them enough for entire seven lives. My question is simple, will new diesel fuel with no sulfur (<10ppm) damage classic diesel fuel pump (bosch)? I mean, aren’t there in any additives in diesel fuel that are responsible for diesel engine lubrication?
I know that this maybe the question for car&maintenance, but there are many mechanics which are presenting their life phylosophy, and fuel distributor lobbies’ members which will confuse the whole world again with their conradictory answers.

Simply, the higher the sulfur content the lower the quality of the fuel. Sulfur will not lubricate a fuel injector pump and using a fuel with a high sulfur content will cause more wear on a diesel engine and its components than using a good grade of gas oil (high grade diesel fuel).
